Inaccurate AI Driven Decisions by Airbnb's use of AI tools

I used to get about 4-5 bookings a month and monthly bookings regularly for last 4 plus years. Ever since Airbnb started inaccurately using AI to drive details on the Host site I have lost all activity even though I am a super host. It is very upsetting as I can't seem to fix all these errors on my site. For example, the AI engine generated a statement I have 8 beds when there is only 4 bedrooms and 4 beds. I can't seem to fix it. I am so frustrated that Airbnb won't admit their failure with AI and let the host manage the content and STOP editing the content pointing to inaccurate details that affect getting bookings.

This also happened where they used their poorly implemented  AI to say my property was in countryside and human eye can see it is in the suburbs. Another host site AI edit done by Airbnb that as a host I cannot fix.

Please stop changing content on Host sites with your inept use of AI to change content on host sites. We are all going to need to find a better solution than Airbnb if you don't fix this soon as this is having a negative impact on bookings and business.

Hello @Brian3724

I can't help with AI overtaking the platform unfortunately Brian but I can hopefully help you fix the issue with the Quinta house that shows 4 bedrooms but with 8 beds!  Having been onto your listing, I can see that the Lounge area is showing all the beds in this area which doubles the count of the beds as they also are shown correctly by bedroom.

To fix this:

==>Go onto your listing in host mode

==>Go to the Photo Tour on the right hand side of the screen

==>Go into the Lounge area

==>Select the photo of the lounge where all the beds have been listed - click

==>Scroll down to Sleeping arrangements just under the photo. Click and set to zero all of the bed sizes that have been ticked here. Having said this, in your description you say that there is a pull out sofa in the family room.  If so, then add this extra bed in the correct room and this will increase your bed count as a result.  Press save if you see this option

If done correctly, this will set your listing to 4 bedrooms/4beds + sofa bed in the family room that will show up in the "Where you will sleep" section.

Use the View feature to see your listing as a guest.  Might be an idea to start with this actually so that you can see the issue with the Lounge area showing up with all the beds.

Let me know how this goes, good luck

Joëlle
