Is there anyway to rebook a guest?

I do pretty decent volume and have pretty good guest communication systems.

 

But fairly often we have guests that aren't too tech savvy or able to navigate the platform well. They want to rebook the property for a different set of dates, but have trouble finding the same property. (I know it's easy, but anyone who has done this business knows you have to make everything dummy-proof.) 

 

There needs to be a way, like adjusting the reservation dates, where the host can pre-fill out the booking details and send it to the guest or to the inquiry.

 

I recently had an inquiry for one night where the guest who is new to airbnb needs to stay months for work (using the one night inquiry to communicate to the host). He will book through airbnb, but he can't quite get the dates to display correctly for the actual booking or inquiry. I could do it for him in 15 seconds and send it to him for approval, like a date adjustment, but as far as I can tell hosts don't have that level of functionality.

You're absolutely right — we do run into guests who struggle with the booking flow, especially those new to Airbnb. Unfortunately, there’s no direct feature that allows hosts to fill in booking details and send it like a draft.

The closest workaround I’ve found is:

Send the guest a custom pre-approval through their inquiry

Or create a Special Offer with the correct dates and rate — this often simplifies the process for the guest

Include clear step-by-step instructions in the message (some even send screenshots)

It would be great if Airbnb introduced a more intuitive rebooking tool or draft booking feature for hosts — definitely a good idea to send as a platform suggestion.
