Hi all,
First posting for me here so thanks in advance for any feedback.
I live alone in my apartment so I have one keycard to enter the building. The keycard is only necessary when there is no doorman, so outside the hour kf 6a-11p every day.
A girl and her friend booked my place on Airbnb. They received two sets of apartment keys but just the one keycard for the building. They asked for another keycard, which I’ve asked my building manager for but costs $50. I suggested keeping the keycard in the lockbox where they picked up the keys in the back of the building on check in so that they don’t have to worry about who has it.
I’m still waiting on my building manager but in the meantime I am wondering, is it an unreasonable setup to have just the one keycard left in a lockbox that way, knowing it’s usually only needed late at night? I’ve had other pairs of guests that didn’t ask for this. Also what of the additional fee? Can I ask to cover part of that since they are explicitly requesting?
thanks in advance!
