Hello everyone!

Iโ€™m Yudhish from NamaStay Himalayas, a peaceful retreat tucked away in Kanatal, Uttarakhand, just 46 miles from the Yoga Capital of the Worldโ€”Rishikesh. I'm truly honored to join the ranks of Superhosts and deeply grateful to our incredible guests for their trust and kind words.

At NamaStay Himalayas, we offer more than just a stayโ€”we offer an experience rooted in nature, tranquility, and mindful living.

My favorite hosting tips?

๐Ÿ“Share local stories and hidden gems โ€“ Guests love discovering what guidebooks miss.
๐Ÿง˜ Encourage mindful travel โ€“ We encourage guests to travel gently, respect the land, and immerse in nature with awareness.
๐ŸŒฑBe part of something larger โ€“Travel becomes transformative when it supports local communities, honors the environment, and nurtures meaningful experiences. More than just a retreat, we see our space as a seed for something deeper. Weโ€™re currently working on building a farming community that promotes sustainable living, organic cultivation, and a return to simpler ways.

Iโ€™m excited to learn from all of you and be part of Airbnb's inspiring global community. If you ever find yourself in Uttarakhand, India youโ€™re warmly invited to NamaStay Himalayas for a cup of chai and a sunset.

Hello @Yudhish-Dutt0 ๐Ÿ‘‹

Welcome to the Community Center and huge congratulations on achieving Superhost status! The farming community you mention sounds wonderful and I'm really interested in sustainability . What kind of crops are you planning to grow first?

Hi @Rebecca

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Weโ€™re really excited about the farming community project.

Weโ€™re starting with crops that thrive in our Himalayan climateโ€”seasonal vegetables like potatoes, garlic, beans, spinach, and cabbages, along with herbs such coriander & mint and traditional grains like rajma (kidney beans). Weโ€™re also planting a variety of fruitsโ€”like apples, walnuts, and apricotsโ€”that thrive in Kanatalโ€™s crisp mountain climate and it's altitude of around 8,500 feet.

What makes this journey even more meaningful is that weโ€™re already welcoming volunteers and nature-minded guests who want to get involvedโ€”whether it's planting, harvesting, or simply reconnecting with the land in a hands-on way. Itโ€™s a beautiful exchange of energy and values.

Looking forward to sharing more, learning from others, and being part of this vibrant community.

Warm regards,
Yudhish

Thank you so much!

Thereโ€™s something deeply satisfying about cooking and sharing food thatโ€™s been grown locally. The colors and flavors are a gift, and we love passing that on through our meals.

Appreciate the kind wishesโ€”and you're always welcome to visit us in Kanatal.

Regards,
Yudhish
