Hello everyone,
I’m Devraj, a host based in Thamel, Kathmandu, where I offer a cozy apartment for travelers. Despite having great amenities and offering unique experiences like meditation and trekking, I’ve been struggling to secure bookings.
I’d appreciate any advice on how to increase visibility and bookings on Airbnb. Are there any tips on pricing strategies, timing, or platform features I should focus on? I’d love to hear your experiences!
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best,
Devraj

Hi Devraj,
Thanks for sharing I totally understand how tough it can be to stand out on Airbnb, especially in a competitive area like Thamel. Your offerings already sound amazing with meditation and trekking experiences that’s a great niche!
Here are a few tips that could help boost visibility and bookings
Optimize Your Title & First Photo: Your listing title should be clear, catchy, and benefit-driven (e.g. “Peaceful Apartment in Thamel + Guided Meditation & Trekking”). And your first photo should show the most inviting space usually the bedroom or a well-lit living area.
Leverage Airbnb Experiences: You can list your meditation and trekking separately under Airbnb Experiences, which can help drive more people to your profile.
Use Smart Pricing: Airbnb’s Smart Pricing tool helps keep you competitive, but I also recommend manually adjusting prices during peak tourist seasons or local events.
Get Bookings Through Longer-Term Discounts: Offering weekly or monthly discounts can attract digital nomads or retreat-goers who stay longer.
Review & Response Strategy: Consistent, thoughtful responses to reviews and inquiries boost your search ranking and help build trust quickly.
If you’d like more hands-on help, I actually specialize in co-hosting and guest experience management. I’d be happy to support you in optimizing your listing, managing guests, and improving visibility. Feel free to message me directly if you’re open to a chat!
Wishing you lots of bookings ahead!
