I am a superhost who makes most of my earnings from weekend travelers. I have auto booking on my listing. This new Airbnb guest submitted a request to book two nights. I accepted the request. The system proceeded to block my room for 12 hours until he is able to verifiy his ID. I proceeded to involve customer care. Still waiting for a resolution. why are new unverified guest allowed to take 12 hours to verify ID? If they can’t verify within 1 hour, it should free up reservation from the host calendar. Here I am 3 hours later, we need to reach someone who probably booked a hotel and my room is tied up from not being able to host. Who will cover my booking losses? I would like to request that the 12 hour ID verification hold be switched to 1 hour, enough time to send in an ID if they are serious about booking. This is unacceptable to all host! @superhost
