New Nightly Cost

New Nightly Cost

AIRBNB now shows a new total nightly cost for your property which includes their fee and taxes. When did this happen? Does this include your cleaning fee. Vey confusing!

Hi @Brian2179,

This happened in the past few weeks and has been discussed on the following threads (see below).

In Europe it is combined but on check out shows all fees itemized. In the US there was a toggle feature that allowed total cost or nightly cost and still itemized fees at the end. Recently in the US, it shows all fees while looking and when you check out you need to click a tiny button to see the taxes but the Airbnb service fee and cleaning fees do not appear to be itemized. This makes it confusing as the nightly fee appears really high for some listings (because it is the nightly fee, the airbnb service fee and the cleaning fee all in one) and then there is the taxes. Please read the threads below for more insight and discussion.

We ask all hosts and guests to submit feedback to Airbnb asking for them to be transparent when checking out to show the cleaning fee, pet fee, resort fees (if applicable) and Airbnb services fees itemized.
