We are getting many bookings through VRBO but non from AirBNB. We don't know why.
@David-and-Karen3 I am in the same situation. 2/3 of my bookings this year are VRBO. I need to use my husbands laptop to see if my listing is showing up and in what page. I am afraid if I do this on my own laptop my findings may be skewed
@David-and-Karen3 You are in a catch 22 situation.Your lack of bookings on Airbnb will likely reduce your position in the search engine. Also is your pricing (after guest fees) the same on both platforms?
Good morning Mike & Jane! Yes, our prices are the same on both platforms. It's been puzzling to us too. Karen
I don't know if this will work, but it is worth a try. If you haven't already create a custom link to your listing. Then send that link out to family & friends. Ask them to share and also click the link. I have heard (don't know if it is true) that those clicks bring you up in the search. If you are like us, Airbnb hosts have escalated this year causing too many listings. Good luck. I only use Airbnb but now am wondering if I should add VRBO. Just afraid to learn something new.
Same here! One Airbnb booking - 12 VRBO...hmm
@David-and-Karen3 I list on multiple platforms - AirBnB, VRBO and others. As I take bookings from platforms other than AirBnB, filling my calendar, the fewer bookings I get from AirBnB. We get "punished" for having a full calendar with fewer available dates for AirBnB guests.
Last year AirBnB was 60% of my bookings. This year, as I have had more bookings from other platforms, AirBnB is now 20%, and it has been 4 months since my last AirBnB booking inquiry.
