Not every great stay starts with a booking, sometimes it starts with a ‘save’ ❤️”

Hi everyone 😊

I’ve been actively part of this community for a while, learning from so many amazing hosts and travelers here.

While I may not have welcomed guests in person yet, I’ve put a lot of thought into creating a space that reflects what we all talk about here, comfort, trust, and a great overall experience.

If you’re planning a trip to India 🇮🇳 (now or even sometime in the future),

I’d genuinely love to:

1. Help you with local insights and planning.

2. Share recommendations based on your travel style.

3. Make your stay as smooth as possible

And if my listing feels like a place you’d enjoy, feel free to save or favorite it for later(even if your trip isn’t anytime soon.)

It really helps visibility and keeps it handy when you need it 🙂

Would also love to hear 'what’s one thing that makes a stay memorable for you?'

@Patricia2526, @Nandini11, @Christine615, @Elise43, @Helen471 and @Angel10141  would you like to share a bit of your experience?

Thank you, everyone! 🌻

For me, when I travel I love meeting my hosts in person and finding out more about them— in the U.S., it feels like the default now is to not meet your guests, but when I travel, I am so curious about my hosts and their hosting journey, that meeting them often is what makes the stay truly memorable! I always try to book places hosted by a host who only has one property— those tend to feel like the really special properties, the ones with a story rather than a buisness plan.

Hi @Vivek143  😊

I’m from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India.

I really loved your message and the thought you’ve put into hosting. I feel the same — for me, it’s always about making guests feel at home during their stay. I also guide my guests with local recommendations, restaurants, and experiences they must try when they are in Varanasi.

Since Varanasi is the place of Kashi Vishwanath, there’s so much culture and spirituality to experience, and I always try to help my guests explore it in the best way possible.

Wishing you all the best for your hosting journey

Hi @Nandini11 -

Thank you so much for your kind feedback 😊

Great to know you’re from there i have visited Varanasi many times, and each visit has always been a unique and enriching experience.

If you happen to host or know any good hosts in the area, please do let me know. I’d love to consider staying there on my next visit.

Thanks again !

@Vivek143

Thank you so much for your kind words 😊

That’s lovely to hear—Varanasi truly has a different charm every time you visit!

I’m actually a host here myself.

Also, if you have any questions or need suggestions, feel free to ask anytime in the community centre.

Would be glad to help🌻.

Definitely @Nandini11 - Please do let me know if I will get discount for the stay ?( a host to host discount) 😄😄

@Vivek143 Ooh - that's difficult because every place I have stayed has been different. We mostly tend to go to places that are not sterile and filled with individual touches and unique (non-Ikea) furniture. It's what has made our place such a surprise for our guests. One of my favorite places is in Atlanta. We go every year and loved each place, but finally found a townhouse that was built from an aging structure. So much fun furniture and unique touches. There's even a loft with exercise equipment. We love that there are games and movies. We haven't used them but like that we could. We do something similar in our own place. Many games and videos and a DVD player.

I also love that there is a closet filled with extra blankets, toilet paper, etc. I see so many hosts who provide the minimal. I love the places where it is clear the hosts love it too. Even the fridge is organized with fruits and drinks. There is oatmeal and cookies on the counter.

So we are doing the same in our unit. And getting rave results.

Now World Cup is coming. One guest booked six months ago and asked if we could keep them apprised of things going on in town. We will send those notes as the dates get closer. So much to do in our area and so little time 🙂

I love what you are saying about your own place.

I like the dedication and suggestions from you @Christine615 . Thank you for the feedback and feel free to save the place ( if you really like it ) 😉💯

Hi I noticed you mentioned the world cup, I am in a small city, 3 miles from Philadelphia. US, and World Cup will be here soon, how soon did the majority of the bookings for world cup start ? (aside from the one that rsvp 6 months earlier that you mentioned ?) did you increase your prices or use the smart pricing ? thank you, I am still learning and appreciate input.

Hi @Vivek143

That’s honestly one of the most special parts of staying in an Airbnb it turns a trip into something personal instead of just transactional.

Thanks @Patricia2526 for the valuable advice 😃

Hello @Vivek143 When I travel, I love learning all I can about the culture and customs of a country. In my experience, having a host that is warm & welcoming and sharing all there is about their country has been the best! Your home looks and feels very welcoming based on your reviews. Keep being you ☺️

Hello @Helen471 ,

Firstly , YOU HAVE A GREAT PROPERTY!! 😄..

and thank you so much for your kind words 😊

I completely agree, some of the most memorable travel experiences come from truly connecting with the culture, and as hosts, we have a small but meaningful role in shaping that.

I always try to make guests feel comfortable while also sharing a bit of the local experience whenever possible.

Really appreciate your encouragement...it means a lot!

And if you ever plan a visit (even in the future), feel free to save my place for later so it’s easy to find when you need it 🙂 Would love to host you someday!
