Not sure if I should continue to host

I've been dealing with Airbnb customer service, and it's been a bit frustrating. It's always promises like "we'll get back to you" and escalations, but it feels like they don't talk to each other behind the scenes. So, they told me if Airbnb cancels a reservation, guests can't leave a review, which makes sense. But guess what? I just got a review from a canceled reservation! No clue what it says yet but Why label her review as irrelevant when she never even stayed in the house? It's like reviewing a movie you haven't watched – doesn't quite add up, right?

Thank you, Helen; that is good to know. The reservation was made at around 6:30 PM, and the guest showed up around 6:45 PM. My mistake was thinking the reservation was for the next day and accepting it. By the time I realized, it was too late, and the house was not ready. I called customer support right away but was told it was assigned to someone else. Two days later, I got a call because the guest called. I explained and told them it should be canceled, and she should get her full refund. They also waived the $50 penalty and assured me she won’t be able to leave a review. You're not seeing it because I have to give her a review as well.

Hello @Mahlet2

Both you and your guest can leave a review if the cancellation is made on the day of check in . When did you/the guest cancel the booking @Mahlet2

I am not sure what happens if Airbnb cancels the booking.

what were the circumstances that led to Airbnb cancelling the booking?

I can't see any recent negative reviews attached to your listing

Im happy to inform you that Airbnb was able to remove the review 🙏🏾

Good deal. It is important to have reviews relevant to listing.
