Hi, I am an Airbnb host that rents a private bedroom and bathroom in my home. Should I even give a second thought if I choose to have my partner spend the night? Thank you for any insight.

@Michelle2651 I believe hosts are allowed to have guests as they like, as long as your listing is clear about which spaces are shared and which are private. Perhaps you could say that you will occasionally have friends to stay but the guest's private rooms and areas will remain private.

@Michelle2651 I'm a home share host, too, and if this was a regular occurance, I would mention it in the listing.
I won't make assumptions as to sex of your partner, but I could see single female guests who might be uncomfortable about sharing the home with a male, to be upset if they arrived to find they weren't simply sharing with the female host, as they gleaned from the listing.
I have had friends or family decide to come visit with not much notice, when I already had guest bookings for those dates. As these were just one-off events, I messaged the guests to let them know my daughter or friend would also be here, which none had any objection to. But I felt it was something I should be upfront about, in case it bothered them.
Love your answer, that’s what I thought that possibly guests arriving and crossing paths with a male friend of mine might be wondering/confused. It’s only now very rarely but if it becomes more common or frequent I will add it in my listing in general way. Thank you so much.
@Michelle2651 In non-pandemic circumstances, I think shared-home hosts can feel free to have any number of people over as long as the guest's privately rented space is not entered and the facilities (shared bathroom, etc) are as available to them as the listing would lead them to expect. If the listing isn't billed as a female-only household, the gender of the host's visitors shouldn't matter.
However, Covid adds an extra variable to the equation. Your listing explicitly states that you have been vaccinated, which heavily implies to guests that they won't be exposed to an unvaccinated person in the home environment. If people other than yourself might be in the home during a guest's stay, I'd suggest deleting that disclosure from your listing - it's meaningless if you can't guarantee that every person who enters the home is also vaccinated.
