Hi @Muhammad-Suhail0, I understand how stressful it is to see a successful payment without a confirmed reservation. This usually happens due to a technical lag or a "temporary authorization hold" where the payment is processed, but the booking window closes before the transaction completes.

Here is the most effective way to handle this professionally:

  • Verify the Transaction Status: Check if the payment is "Pending" or "Completed" in your bank app. Often, if a booking fails, the bank will automatically reverse this "pending" charge within 3–5 business days.

  • Check Your "Trips" Tab: Log into your account and check the Trips section. If the reservation isn't there, the booking did not go through, regardless of the bank notification.

  • Contact Support with Proof: Reach out to customer service immediately. Have your bank transaction ID and the dates of the failed booking ready. They can verify if the funds are being held by the platform or if the reversal is already in progress.

  • Wait for the Refund: Avoid attempting to book the same dates again until you confirm the first payment is being refunded, to prevent multiple charges on your card.

In my own experience managing, I always recommend guests take a screenshot of any error messages during checkout; it makes it much easier for support to track down what went wrong and resolve it quickly.

Have you already received a confirmation email from the platform, or was it only the notification from your bank?

If you booked an accommodation, then you receive a confirmation of the booking after the payment was succesful.

You need to contact Airbnb support if something went wrong. If there has been already communication between you and the host, you can also ask the host to check if your booking has been processed.
