People who want to bring dogs

My listing clearly says NO PETS -- in several places. Yet I keep getting a string of bookings where weeks after the people have booked, they suddenly ask if they can bring a dog or... I kid you not ... a pair of budgies in a cage. 

Can Airbnb not make it clearer that no pets means no pets? It seems people just are not reading listings or house rules or expecting they don't apply to them. I hate then being the bad guy and telling them no, Fido has to stay at home. Or worse yet, wondering if they are going to sneak Fido onto the property and we're going to face months of dog hair.

Forget Airbnb, it is your place and what happens to it will be your future burden, not Airbnb's. Being the 'bad guy;' at times comes with the territory, unfortunately; though you being so kind of nature will serve you very well in the long run.
