Professional photography gone wrong

Ive had a professional photographer come and take photos of my cottage but the photographs look awful and do nothing for my product. Quite frankly I want them taken off. So bad I feel I shouldn’t pay for them. I have spoken to customer services and they tell me I can’t remove them and have to pay because the photographs meet Airbnb’s standards. As airbnb haven’t seen my cottage first hand how can they know they are a true representation of the colour scheme. Has anyone else been disappointed with their photographs and have you any advice on how to get the photos removed

You can always remove or re-order photos in the Photo Manager under "Edit Listing." Just select the image(s) you want to delete, click the pencil button in the upper-left corner, and select "Delete this photo." Of course, you'll still need to have other photos in their place for your listing to be viable.

You won't get a refund for doing this, though. Airbnb's photography service was an appealing option back when they offered it for free, but now that they charge for it I don't recommend it. Better if you can hire a freelance photographer whose work you can see before booking them.

I want to echo the frustrations about the Airbnb Photography Service. My experience has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

Initially, the photos I received were of poor quality, did not reflect our space at all and I had to request edits. After that, half of my photos suddenly disappeared from my listing, leaving me with 50% missing images. When I reached out, the team initially responded and assured me that I shouldn’t worry—they promised the photos would be reuploaded soon.

However, it has now been three weeks, and I no longer believe them. Their communication has completely stopped, and I suspect they have lost my photos. Despite this, I’m still being billed for a service that has provided me with nothing but frustration.

As a host who has been loyal to Airbnb for years, I feel incredibly let down. The lack of accountability and support is unacceptable, and I would never recommend this service to anyone.
