My guest is staying another month but I am getting a prompt to review her. She extended her stay and Airbnb is prompting as if she has completed her stay.
Do I just ignore the prompt? I cannot give a review when I have not been into the home to see how clean she left it because she is still there.
Hi @C-J26,
I would reach out to the Airbnb support and ask them why this is prompting you for a review. It may be a glitch in the system and they should be able to address this for you.
If they completed the stay and it was past the initial check out time then it will be booked as a new stay and not as an extension. I had this issue when a guest checked out and left their luggage and then asked if they could rebook after their check out time (in thr evening). I couldn’t extend the reservation even if they just were here, so I waived the cleaning fee (as a courtesy) and let them stay one more night (even though I already cleaned the place). But I think your situation is different… reach out to them so you don’t inadvertently ignore the prompt to review and they can correct whatever is happening on their end.
Thank you @Lorina14 .
I could not figure out "support" or any way to have dialogue with anyone regarding the prompt. There was no lapse in their stay and they booked the additional time 1 week prior to the end of their first booking. I need to learn how to extend the stay it appears-I just had them book the additional month.
Thank you for your help.
Hey @C-J26,
Here's the link to get help or contact Airbnb Support Team. They may be able to look into it and merge the stays together.
For future reference, here's how to Modify a reservation as a Host.
Please let us know how you get on and if you need anything else, let me know.
Thank you so much for the tag @Lorina14. In this case the Host needs to go to support first, and we can go from there 😊
Great thank you for your help! A this point it is too late to correct this particular stay. But going forward I now know how to handle it.
You should welcome the opportunity for and the guest to leave multiple reviews as this builds up your reviews and you know they will be positive as the guests wants to extend their stay @C-J26
Personally I include regular cleans for guests on longer stays so I can make sure the property is being well maintained @C-J26
Thank you for your suggestion.
I intend to do that for the next guest as I had seen that recommendation prior to my first guest. I just had not established a cleaning team!
