Property misrepresentation

We recently stayed at a property in Rome on via Buonarroti which was stated to be “ 5 minutes by feet” from the Colosseum.  We found this to be at least a 15-min walk. Then, while the property was said to be air conditioned, we were told to use not more than 2 ACs on a 45C day. To exacerbate the situation, there was construction from 8am until 5pm right next door, making it seem like the walls were being broken down! The host was not happy about our honest review of the stay and right after we posted it, slapped us with a damage claim of $1600 for a vanity handle! We had photos and videos showing the checkout but AirBnB decided we owed the host $600 based on we don’t know what!! We requested proof of the damage and also proof that they in fact repaired it (show old and new units), but to no avail. Any help please??

I would dispute it and not pay it. And if your credit card is charged, dispute that too.
