Hi. Airbnb has retracted their 14 day resolution promise to hosts (me in this case) by closing my case after 7 days. My "guest" caused over 10k in damage so I tried to have my own insurance cover it but they won't as they said Airbnb is responsible for providing the coverage. I called and asked Airbnb if they have an arbitration department or who my insurance company could talk to about their decision to not cover me and they said they do not have a department for that. There is something very wrong about this and I feel as though Airbnb needs to have some kind of regulatory agency to watch out for us hosts since they are not. Does anyone know of any agency to protect us? Thank you
p.s. the woman who damaged my home was in a domestic violent fight with her boyfriend in my place. She is still able to book on Airbnb. **
Right? Kicked in my dishwasher, fridge, gauges in wood floor in multiple places (this creates the biggest expense as now the whole floor needs to be redone to match), kicked two doors in, mutilated my Dyson, cigarette holes in outdoor carpet. I hate them.
