Airbnb question:
I have a confirmed reservation with a first time guest for a week May 9-16. The guest would like to book a separate reservation May 17-August 17.

For your point 1 - the guest can request the dates and in the request you'll see the option to send a special offer.
For your point 2 - regardless of the question and whether you know the answer, I wouldn't get involved in any discussion about payment. This is between the guest and Airbnb. It's not an aspect you can manage, control or take responsibility for. I'd simply direct any payment-related queries to customer support. What you could do (if the guest wants you to), is assist by contacting support from your side, and asking support to get in touch with the guest regarding a payment question.

I appreciate your response. I advised the guest, "For your questions about paying monthly, reach out to Airbnb support. Unfortunately, hosts are not involved in this process. I wish I had the option to update this."
