Hello Airbnb Community,
I recently had an experience where a host left a review for me, and I’m not sure if it violates Airbnb’s content policy. The host mentioned that they had to contact Airbnb's Safety Team due to my "disrespectful and unprofessional behavior," and specifically pointed out an issue with my personal belongings (dirty underwear). I was very surprised by this and am unsure whether such references to Airbnb’s internal processes and personal issues should be allowed in reviews.
I believe reviews should focus on the guest-host experience and shouldn’t mention things unrelated to the stay, such as actions taken by Airbnb or personal matters that don't impact the guest-host interaction.
Has anyone else encountered something similar? Do you think this type of review violates Airbnb’s content policy? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and any advice on how to handle this situation.
Also, it was definitely a revenge review (new host by the way, I have been a superhost and a great guest) as I had to report the host to the police for harassment and left my accommodation. He contacted airbnb safety team because he said that I did not return the key, in fact I had evidence of everything (returning a key, I made a video) and airbnb closed his case.
