Scam? Inquiry from blank account, says due to phone and passport stolen?

This sounds fishy- it's an inquiry for a month:

"Though I have been a verified AirBnb user for years, this is my new account because I got my phone, cards, and passport stolen while traveling across Europe. Due to two-step verification and the like, I was locked out of my email (which is tied to my previous AirBnb account). I understand the risk you are taking as a host, so I am happy to include my fiancé’s Airbnb account if that will help."

He then asks if I will lower the price by about 30%.

Has anyone encountered this sort of message?

@Kelly334 Yes,  Likely a scam.  Just reply that he should use his fiances account. It's not uncommon for guests to ask for a discount.  It's up to you if you feel like offering one.

Most hosts will set discounts for  longer stays which guests see when they go to book.

I tell guests who ask for additional discounts that I already discount monthly stays.

I suggest that if my discounted rate is not within their budget they use the price function in Airbnb to see if there are any properties within their budget.

personally I see red flags particularly for a longer term bookings.
