Good morning all! I was hoping to get any information when I went to review my most recent guest there were pain and I did not want them to choose my location again. I've been told that by selecting no you don't recommend them that means they can no longer see your listing if they were to be booking. my question is does anyone know if that means they can no longer see only that particular listing or any listing that I have. Thanks for any knowledge
Hello @Sarah5258 👋
What a great question! We have some experienced hosts here that might be able to support you - @Helen3, @Joan2709 and @Jonathan2725 may know the answer to this question. I hope you don't mind the tag. 😊
Hey thank you for the reply Rebecca. Airbnb finally answered and they said no which I'm puzzled about because last year someone told me yes. my main reason for asking again was just because I have two listings now and so now this whole time that I thought that no they could not see it if I selected no do not recommend, was wrong the whole time. apparently they can still see the listing and book it if they wanted to. Boo pretty frustrating when we receive back and forth information have a beautiful day
Thanks for letting us know....I wasn't sure myself. However, I do remember quite a few conversations on the CC about this. The only way to truly block a guest from seeing/booking your listing (as I recall) is to block them in the actual message thread:
Block a Guest
https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/2020
The choices for why you are blocking may not actually fit the scenario of "annoying", but I guess you can choose they are being rude as that kinda fits "annoying".
Thanks @Sarah5258 for popping back to let us know and thank you @Joan2709 for the extra tip on how to block them fully. This might be a great work around! Will you try this Sarah?
Oh cool thank you! no she was just a very strange guest made up a bunch of Lies for no reason it was just a very odd awkward situation and then to top it off she asked for an extension on checking out I gave her a negotiated time, then she still stayed passed the time i gave her and the one she asked for, without even asking.
You if truly do not want this person as a guest again, you would need to turn off Instant Book (if using), or block them using the method above; even if the block choices don't exactly fit.
