Smart thermostat with temporary guest access

My AirBnB is on the lower level of my house. Thermostat is on the upper level where I live. I would like guests to have temporary and limited access to the thermostat via a mobile app. Ideally, something that integrates with the AirBnB app so guests have access only during the stay and I would be setting up temperature range allowed for the guest. Has anyone come across a smart thermostat that can accomplish this?

I have used the Sensi WiFi thermostat (Emerson) and it doesn't have a sharing feature. Not sure about other WiFi Thermostats. You may have to consider adding a second control unit in the guest area and then set the temp limit range for guests.

You might consider pairing a WiFi thermostat with a smart home hub and you may be able to limit access for other users that way, but not sure how you would prevent access to other home features.

Internet search says there are some thermostats out there where you can invite others, but you would have to make sure it allows limited access.

No I don't think anything like that exist.

Even it if did guest would need to download an app and would struggle with it.

One option would be to install a Google Nest and relocate it to the bottom floor. The guest can simply use the thermoset and you can use the app. You can set the temp range on the thermostat for the guest.

Nest is really popular with other host and they just let the guest adjust with the thermostat.

I mention the Nest because I have one so know how it works.

I did install mime myself. It has easy to follow instructions.

The tricky part would be re routing the thermostat wire. It's a simple wire.but sometimes thats the tricky part.

Or just get someone to install it for you.

You can also install more sensors. This is mine with extra sensors in the living room and bedroom, as at night I want to bedroom to maintain the temp I set it to as it usually warms up when sleeping.

But you could put one upstairs or in living room or bedrooms, and select it manually or set up a schedule.

But there may bo other thermostats that do the same thing.

My guest do use a remote with a mini split. So they can adjust to whatever they want.

I really think it's a good idea to allow guest to adjust the temp themselves and have a range.
