Hello everyone
I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to ask a question that's been on my mind: What types of guests...

A guest booked for 3 and 5 people are staying in my house. My listing states a maximum of 4 as I only have beds for 4. I have cameras and when I mentioned the extra people I was told they were staying somewhere else. The cameras say differently. My repair guy had to stop by to check the hot water for them and there's an air mattress in the living room. I go up for super host status in Jan and don't want any problems and don't know what to do??

Best for your sake not to upset the apple cart since little 'damage' was done, but now think of the ways to prevent for this common little scam to occur again. I.e. perhaps make it explicit that it is of paramount importance that how many guests coming are stated up front.
In our notes the first two items are:
>> Reservations: It is important that the reservation is indeed accurate as to the number of guests actually coming before arrival since it helps us plan for your stay that much better.
>> Price: The base price is $895 for the first two guests. $100 per person per night beyond that. No cleaning fee.
It has eliminated any and all confusion since (one year ago) we state this up front. For those that can't read or refuse to, it arms you with a winning argument with any hassle with any guests, especially retaliatory (aka sabotage) reviews. Good luck.

Personally I would have gone there and made sure those not on the booking left @Casey366 I don't like guests who lie to me.
There is little point having cameras if you then ignore evidence of poor guest behaviour.
The guest is the one who should be scared of a negative review.
Either call them out on it and get visitors not on the booking to leave. Ignore it and leave a negative review.
