Dear Airbnb,
We sincerely regret that we will need to cancelled anll upcoming reservation and stays at Seabrook Lodge through the end of June 2025 (possibly longer, but we’ll keep you informed on the progress with our repairs). Unfortunately, the roof of the house suffered serious damage following Storm Éowyn and subsequently we had water damage internally as a result, including electrical issues due to wiring getting wet.
We have been working diligently to get everything repaired prior to the arrival of our guests, but despite our best efforts, we now realise that we’re simply not going to have the work done in time, particularly in light of the recent revelations by our builders, that they just can’t get the electrical issues resolved without most of the house needing to be rewired. We are beyond devastated by the news. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and reach out to us if you require any additional information.
Sincerely,
Kat Lawrence
Hi @Katryn2
This is a community for hosts and guests .
if you want to cancel guest bookings under the host exceptional circumstances policy because of storm damage you will need to contact Airbnb directly and provide evidence so that Airbnb can do penalty free cancellations.
Thank you Helen… my mistake!
Hi @Katryn2,
I'm really sorry to hear your house suffered some damages from a recent storm; I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and sound!
Have you managed to get in touch with the support team, as Helen suggest? If not, you can reach out to them via this page: www.airbnb.com/help/contact-us/
Thanks,
Emilie
