Strange Bloody Experience

Strange Bloody Experience

Hi dear Hosts,

I am wondering if someone had a similar case: a guest/ a man checked in, after two hours my bathroom was fool sprayed with blood. I was even not normal, there were blood speckless on a wall, trash can and the floor. I cleaned before he came and was upset that I needed to clean again. I thought something bad happened to him, but no, he went to the party and after he came back we talked, he never complained and I didn't wanted to make him feel uncomfortable, he also mentioned that he likes my place. He looked absolutely fine. Next morning I got a shock, more blood all over, this time it was even on the toilet, in the toilet, walls, floor, bathtub and trash can again, I have never seen anything like that! And it was already dark, because dried. Me and my other guest were terrified. It took me again 1h to clean the restroom. Id this some sort of prank guests do at the moment to hosts? Did someone encountered anything like that?

Should I report it to airbnb?

@Elisabeth40so sorry this happened to you. Very unnerving in a shared space.

I would probably just say "Hi guest-- I hope you are okay. I noticed there was a lot of blood on the walls and floor a few times after you left the bathroom. Because this is a shared space I don't have the necessary cleaning gear to ensure that its safe for all of my guests. I am working with Airbnb to find you a more suitable stay."

This is far too risky to keep exposing yourself and other guests to. ABB really needed to intervene on this one and fast. I get not prying into his health info but he needs to be somewhere with professional cleaning staff trained to sterilize a space in this kind of situation. I am not that person as a host and it doesn't sound like you are either!

Take photos. Your not supposed to be exposed to biological agents like this. It’s not safe.

And sorry, that fake third party customer service is garbage. Escalate. You have every right to know what you’re exposed to. Or what is happening.

@Elisabeth40  just one more question - did you mention anything while reviewing this guest?
