I received a message from Streamlined Stay solution. Insurance placement. Asking to see my place before deciding. I thought Airbnb did not allow 3rd party reservations and asking to see my home, asking for my address doesn’t sit right with me? What makes them any different than a regular reservation, you book and you stay. I’m new so just needing advice on what I should respond back with.
If you google it you will find more info. Seems to be legitimate
They always ask a preview of an accommodation.

I understand but it’s a third party booking. Airbnb states no third party booking. So do I go against Airbnb guidelines?
@Tammie73 I looked at their website -- their links are broken and go nowhere, so they are either very new or very ....bogus.
As a host, I would not allow this booking. This is considered third-party (actually fourth-party as AirBnB is already a third-party to the booking being made by the guest) and third-party bookings are not protected by AirBnB, and probably not by your own insurance policy.
Let Streamlined Stay Solutions know that you "do not have a contract" with them and that you cannot accept the booking.
Hi @Tammie73,
The safest response is to politely tell them that all communication and bookings must go through Airbnb and that the address is only shared after a reservation is confirmed.
That is a good question, and you are absolutely right to pause and feel uneasy about that request. Your instincts are correct, that is not standard booking protocol.
You are correct that Airbnb prohibits third party bookings, and under no circumstances should any potential guest be asking for your full address or a physical property visit before they have a confirmed, paid reservation.
Regardless of whether "Streamlined Stay Solution" is a genuine corporate account or not, the security rule remains non-negotiable for all hosts:
NEVER give out your full address or allow a tour before they book. This is a significant security risk for your property and your future guests.
The safest professional response focuses on keeping the interaction entirely within the secure communication channel and using the information already available in your listing.
State Your Protocol (Directly): Politely inform them you have a strict protocol against pre-booking tours. You can reply: "For the security and privacy of our guests, we cannot offer property tours prior to a confirmed reservation. However, I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have about the amenities or security features."
Shift the Burden of Proof: Ask them what specific details they need to verify. "Our listing includes detailed photos and floor plans. Could you tell me exactly what aspect of the home your client needs to verify? I can send a specific picture or a video clip through the message thread if needed."
If they insist on seeing the place before confirming the booking, politely decline and thank them for their interest. Always prioritise your security protocol over a potential booking. @Tammie73
