Superhost on listing

Hi there,

We were awarded Superhost status at least 3 weeks ago, but it isn't showing up on our listing. Does anyone know how long it takes or if we need to do something to put it there? I reached out to their support and they had no idea.

Many thanks, happy hosting!

Jannie

Your listing is showing your Superhost status:

These days Superhost status is not as important as Guest Favorite. Guests can filter their search using Guest Favorite, but not Superhost anymore:

Profile Photo

Might I suggest Robert upload a profile photo - guests prefer to see the Host's actual face.

Hello @Robert-Melvin0 and @Joan2709

Isn't it strange that the Superhost badge is different on our listings than on our profil here?  Way smaller on our listing and this might explain why you missed it Jannie😉

Why have two different SH badges???  Again an unnecessary update in my mind but maybe says a lot too on the value today placed on the status....shame.

@Joelle43

Yes...Hosts suggested when Airbnb added GF that Airbnb continue to allow search filters for both and display both prominently on the cover photo thumbnail. Alas, that did not happen. Airbnb is moving to a more guest interest arena and felt the GF was more suited to that?

The Superhost badge in the CC is the old version...kinda like it better. 😊

Hi @Robert-Melvin0 😊

Congratulations on this status!

Have you been able to see the badge now, as Joan showed in the picture?

Yes, thank you! As a Superhost, Guest Favorite, and in the top 10% of listings, why would our listing be on the second page? Shouldn't we be one of the first listings people see?

Some suggestions for improving your search rank results:

Price

The algorithm is very price sensitive. This is hurricane season (low season) in Florida and you are waaay overpriced for the size of the condo and compared to similar listings. I'm seeing larger condos priced lower than you. Look at similar listings (condos same size 1 bedroom 4 guests comparable amenities) and set your price similar to theirs. Use Custom Promotions to lower the price - don't just manually lower it. Airbnb provides benefits when you use their Custom Promotions. You don't necessarily need to use the same promotion for 7 consecutive days as Airbnb states. We give higher discounts during the week and create another for weekends that is a lower discount. Don't use early bird or last minute discounts as they will stack on top of your Custom Promotions:

Minimum Stay

Your 3day min stay is hurting you in off-season. If someone is searching for a 2night getaway your listing will not even appear in search results. Consider 2night stays in low season. You can keep your 3night min stay as your default setting, but turn on Professional Hosting Tools and create a Rule Set for a 2night min. Apply that 2night min stay only to the dates you want. Keep your holidays and peak season as 3 nights:

Photos

Your photos are great quality and congrats on having captions on ALL photos (many Hosts don't do this). Reduce the number of photos. 75 photos is too many. Most guests will stop scrolling and miss some of the awesome photos you have. Two photos per room are enough. Many of your photos of the interior are basically of the same areas. Pick the best one or two and delete the rest. Keep in mind your cover photo should be the best most unique feature of your property. The next 4 should highlight your best amenities. You are telling a story with your photos - so how do you want to start your story? Right now you are missing opportunities with your first 5 photos. All your first 5 photos show the inside of the condo? Most guests are going to want to be at the beach and enjoying the resort amenities. You want to appeal to couples wanting a warm getaway on a sunny beach and enjoying all the resort fun activities. They will not be spending a lot of time inside. You want some color contrast in the 4 photos after the cover. Suggest you try the photos below as your first 5. If you're not seeing an uptick in bookings, try switching things up:

Cover

("Wow" photo to get guests to stop scrolling and click your listing - you are emphasizing your prime near-the-beach location. Try one of the 3 below as a Cover photo:

Suggest you crop the left side

Cover possibility 2 - suggest you crop right side

Cover possibility 3 - suggest you crop the right side (emphasize golf)

Listing Accuracy & Completeness

The algorithm rewards listings that are accurate and complete. You are missing some information and your subtitle is incorrect.

Title

You're not really "steps" from the beach from what I can see from the photos. I would change that to XXmins to Beach. If it is a private beach for residents only I would say that. I would keep King Bed and Free Golf. I would say something about resort amenities. You get 50 characters, so take advantage of that. Put your most important amenities/feature first as only about 30 characters will appear on the thumbnail photos in search.

Subtitle

You say you can accommodate 4 guests but only have 1 bed in the subtitle? You need to add a photo of the queen pullout sofa pulled out and made up as a bed. Add that photo to the Living Room "Room". In the Living Room "Room" go to that photo and add sofa bed to the "Sleeping Arrangements". This will correct your subtitle to 1 bedroom - 2 beds. Add sleeping arrangements to one of the photos of the sofa you have now until you get the photo of the sofa bed made up.

Joan2709_1-1762183935833.png

Amenities

Many of your amenities are missing details. Go to the amenities section and click "Edit" top right. You will see pencil icons appear. Be sure to click those and add the details.

Listing Layout

The glass french doors leading to the bedroom are nice but don't provide much privacy. For example, If two couples are traveling together, the couple sleeping on the sofa bed can see clearly into the bedroom through the clear glass doors and vice versa. I suggest at least putting frosted window film/coverings on the panes or come up with some other way to provide more privacy.

Trust

You need to add a photo of yourself to your profile and add more information to it. Guests want to see a picture of the Host's face, not just a name there.

@Robert-Melvin0

Sorry...this was the 3rd option for a cover photo. Suggest you add an arrow showing listing location:
