THE WORST!!!!
Paid up front. I am a month our from my reservation. My mom calls and tells me she has a malignant lump on her kidney (cancer) and needs emergency surgery. I am out of state, and the Airbnb host (and support center) refuses to help me and refuses me a refund.

WHO PREDICTS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY!?

I will NEVER use Airbnb ever again.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. This is the sort of situation that would be covered by your travel insurance so I suggest you put in a claim through them.

it's not an issue that would allow you to overide the cancellation policy you booked under.
