The Airbnb support team is not responding

I sent a message to Airbnb's support but I could not get any answer. I booked a room and paid for it. The host told me I had to cancel, but if I did I wouldn't get a refund. The host does not cancel to avoid being penalized. I have wasted money. Who will relieve our grievance? I cannot reach anyone.

tell the host if they want to cancel they should do so and not ask you to do it @İlyas35 

 

I would suggest you call Airbnb in this situation.

 

I believe there is an option under cancellation where you can indicate the host has asked you to cancel - 

I did not cancel because the system said that my money would not be refunded if I canceled.

As I said in my response above there's an option for you to state to host is asking for the booking to be cancelled if you don't want to use it as I also suggested call Airbnb @İlyas35 

I could not see this option, there is an option to send a message to the host, but he doesn't want to cancel it anyway. I will try to call Airbnb

Sorry - I misunderstood your question. The host must cancel. Just keep messaging Airbnb CS via the reservation. They will refund you if the host won’t cancel.

The host sent me a private message saying that he would pay a penalty if he canceled, so he asked me to do it. But if I do I won't get my refund. So Airbnb needs to force the host to do this and I need to be refunded. However, they do not return messages.

@İlyas35 Yes this is very wrong . It is the hosts cancellation not yours . Do you have the messaging wherin the host asked you to cancel? ... H
