It just took me 15 minutes to sign into Airbnb because of their new 'I am not a robot' verification dice game! Whomever came up with the count the dice which add up to 14 must be shot. Selecting pictures of a traffic lights, buses or taxis was much faster to log-in! If I wanted to count dice, I would go to a casino!
haha 😄 yes, it is terrible, I also needed 10 min to figure out what the hell they want me to do? And while I was busy finding my glasses and playing the game my guest was waiting for an answer.
@Joe2 This new concept doesn't seem to have made it to England yet. I am hoping I will like it as I always struggle to know what is meant by traffic lights (does it include the pole or not?)
I do think they should keep the answer below 10 though otherwise I'll run out of fingers to count on.
O M G. Another hurdle.
This security test is awful. I have never experienced anything like it. My time is valuable and so are my thinking abilities. This is not a good experience at all. LAME!! Please change this.
sign in.Have not been able to sign in at all -tried this morning apparently failed - mistakes. Tried again tonight have spent 20min on it twice told I was successful but still unable to sign in.STUCK
Don't know what to do!!?!!
Hello @Marjory19 👋
I'm sorry to hear you're having some issues signing in. Would you be able to try these troubleshooting steps to see if that resolves the issue please?
Please let me know how you get on.
This is ridiculous! To have to go through all of this just to log in! It's the DESIGN of the security check itself that is RIDICULOUS!!!! As others have said, our time is precious, and I have never had to run through something TEN TIMES! Which I did THREE TIMES total and it still would not let me in. I know the sound of drums when I hear them! I just complained on the customer service line, but this is a major tech stupidity, not to mention discriminatory. If I were elderly, I would NEVER be able to get through this. As it is, I've got ADHD and it was hard on me too! I assume AirBnb would like customers. We have to be able to log in, you know?
Perhaps if everyone on this thread complained to the Airbnb suggestions box they will disable this new verification? While they don’t acknowledge it with a case number, etc. I’ve been told they read the comments and some of my issues were addressed with some bug fixes after I told them of the flaws in some rollouts/updates. There needs to be enough people complaining for the management and tech teams to consider a feature or issue is actually an issue they should address. Let’s hope they fix this soon.
I haven’t seen this verification yet but am not looking forward to it.
