We have a guest reservation for next week and I noticed today that their
“messages are hidden because this person no longer has access to airbnb”and their profile says I do not have permission and picture is gone.
Airbnb support says they were removed from the platform and should not be showing up for reservation but we are still receiving payout. They would not give me any more information which is confusing to say the least. This seems very much a lack of communication not informing us. I understand privacy issues but still worrisome for my co host as what did this person do and what if they show up anyway? Where we are located is easy to find in the pictures and description. Wouldn’t it be better for Airbnb to cancel reservation so we can rebook with actual guests? If they cancelled their credit card how would we receive payout? The rep was polite but just kept repeating the same thing over and over.

@Patricia3436 I would message support so that at least you have their response in writing. I actually think you are unlikely to get paid for this reservation as it would be illegal for Airbnb to stop a guest staying without refunding their money.
