Tips for more bookings

Good day,

I am Inat I am a new host in Jamaica. I have over 200 views but only had one booking. I am wondering if it’s pricing though it’s not at the highest rate. Any tips?

Regards,

Inat

That means your title and cover photo are working, potential Guesys click.  I suggest maybe review the descriptions and amenities offered by other Hosts in your area.  Yours need some work.  You are new and it is not detailed that creates nerves by a Guest and they may not wan to chance it.

Hi @Inat173  ‌😊‌,
Welcome to the community center and thank you for asking this question here!

When did you start hosting?

To get better help from our host community, I recommend requesting a listing critique. This will help you understand why you're not receiving bookings.

I like the kitchen, but having the couch right off the kitchen seems odd.  Is there a dining table and chairs?  If not, I would add those.  Not having a TV might put some potential guests off.  Also, installing a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector are small costs.  You have essentials crossed off, but I think that's a mistake.  You offer soap, kitchen items, linens etc. so I think you DO have essentials.  I would take new pictures of the bathroom.  Do not show the items you have there, for example toothpaste.  Do you offer bath towels?  Also, add a picture of the area you say they can work in.  Having WIFI is a must, which you have, so that's good.

Good Luck.

Hi Carolyn,

I appreciate your response. Yes I have dinning table and some of those other things. A guest (before I joined) stole my huge tv it was  reported to the police so I am trying to buy another one asap.

Much appreciated Carolyn.
