Unpaid fees

Has anyone else had this problem? I accepted a booking for a  month period in our caravan but when I checked details they had put a discount of over a thousand pounds which I wasn't aware off I cancelled it 5mins later & guest where completely understand but airb&b put fees on my account of over £600 & blocked out those dates so very unfair. I called them & explained situation & advisor said she would speak to supervisor and get back to me, which she did but wouldn't lift block or fees . They said it was unfair to guest,  but they were fine about it & got a full refund, so who got the £600 I was stopped in fees ? Airb&b of course terrible company.  Has anyone else had this issue & is there anything I can do about it ? Thanks for reading.

@Susan5380 who had put a discount? What sort of discount was it? All are answers we would need to know to perhaps help.

@Susan5380,

I looked at your profile, and see that your caravan is a new listing.  Did you agree to the 20% new listing discount when you were creating the listing?  It's usually a question posed right before you make the listing live.

You can check what types of discounts that are associated with the listing by clicking the calendar icon on the listing's dashboard, select Pricing and scroll down to the discounts section.   Note that if you selected a non-refundable cancellation, it provides a 10% discount for bookings made within 60 days of arrival, but it's not listed in the discount area.
