Waiting for the guests to checkin for 3 days already. Do I have to wait for 4 more days until the end of the booked stay?

Hi,

I have accepted a  Reservation from a guest who has not arrived 3 days ago. Reservation is 7 days long. Guest does not cancel Reservation but he has not answered to my question regarding checkin. Airbnb tells me I have to wait here every day during my checkin time because Reservation has not been cancelled and he could Show up until the last night of this Reservation. Is this really true?  I have accepted Reservation for 21st until 28th of December but I do not intend to stay in town on Christmas Eve because  he could Show up. Anybody here who knows what to do?

I would buy a removable key safe and attach it to a sturdy structure nearby. Quality key safes aren't cheap, but then you have one for the future too!

When the guest arrives they will contact you to get in - you can then supply the code. You may have to give them instructions to take the safe inside with them, because it could be stolen if left open (or tampered with).

I hope everything is OK - it's possible that the guest isn't ignoring you, but that something may have happened.
