Why did my account get suspended and my reservation cancelled?

This is my first time booking with Airbnb. Talk to the host and paid for my booking and a few hours later I see a notification that my booking was cancelled and my account is disabled. They said I was in violation of some sort which they never explained of. I’m confused on how I was in violation of anything when this is my first time ever getting a rental house/room from them.

@Regan70 you have been on Airbnb for 4 years and yet have no profile info or reviews. If you had booked with me I might well have been concerned and asked Airbnb to cancel.

But how am I in violation of illegal activity? Once again I never booked a rental until yesterday as long as I’ve had this account.

So because I didn’t have anything pictures or reviews they canceled it? And said that I was in violation

Only Airbnb will be able to give you specifics.

We have seen Airbnb cancel reservations for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited) to:

Fraud suspected on payment method

Fraud suspected regarding use of another persons account information to book

Previous flags as a party risk

Previous flags due to any other violation of Airbnb's Ground Rules for Guests
