account login problem

Hello dear AirBnb Community,

 

I am writing on behalf of a friend - who cannot login to her account using her email. which is quite strange.

 

to clarify - she keeps getting emails from AirBnb with notifications, but cannot login to AirBnB website, and when trying, getting the message of "Invalid email" - and trying to recover using the Forgot my Password option, the reposnse is "No account exists for [...]".

 

just to clarify - the email we're using is definetly the email she used to login in the past, and it is definetly the same email to which she is getting the current notifications - so it's definetly in the AirBnB system.. 

 

In addition to your thoughts on this, is there a way to contact the website admin in some way for these type of login issues?

 

Any ideas?

Hi .

I am having exactly the same problem with the login. I have joined Airbnb many years ago and never had a  loggin problem until now, it says the email dosent exist, but its yhe right email as I have used for many years.

Somebody have any idea what happens? Any help?

I've been dealing with this for the past couple days. I knew it was an issue prior to this, but since I have the app on my phone (and I have no problem logging in on the app) I put off getting it fixed. I finally messaged help yesterday. Basically whenever I would try to login using my email (not google or facebook), I would get a message saying I hadn't created a password yet, which is ridiculous because I've had an account since 2013. I kept trying to reset my password but whenever I would try to log in, I would get the same message.

 

The tech person helping me kept asking me to login using google, but that just kept rerouting me to the home page where I was still not logged in. Then he asked if I could try using the website using Google Chrome. I've never had an issue logging into the site for six years using Firefox, but he insisted that was the problem. NOPE. Had the exact same issue using Chrome. I even had to update my computer to install Chrome and Chrome ran super slow and had the exact same issues with trying to login as I had in Firefox.

 

But once I closed Chrome and tried to login airbnb using Firefox (on my newly updated computer), my login magically worked! So maybe it wasn't the browser so much as my computer needing to be updated, but the take away is the site is definitely wonky and I wouldn't be surprised if I encounter an issue trying to login in the future.

 

Airbnb needs better tech help than insisting everyone use Chrome.

I thought it may be helpful to share my experience: after switching of Android phone and having the app installed automatically from the Google backup the login was not working: same issue already described in this thread many times, the login worked for some seconds and the app stayed in the login screen without providing any message. Neither reinstalling or cleaning the app data  was helping, but in the other hand I was able to login to the web from a browser.

 

I contacted @AirbnbHelp via Twitter Direct Message and described the situation and they discovered that my account was locked because they discovered an unusual activity (most probably related to the change of phone using a backup I would add).

 

Shame on the developer / UX Designer whom considered that preventing the user login without a message was a good idea!

same problem hehe.  changed my emaila address, but I am only able to access my account on the app since then.  I am no loonger able to go to links I receive by email on my computer

 

this is exactly what is happening to me !!!

Hi Guys

I been with Airbnb. Only a few months and already I am having  promlems  with booking and getting my Calendar up to date.cant use password keeps asking me what can we do for you.its a totally confusing  situation .I sent Airbnb lots of messages  to make contact  and my emails just don't go any where.

I have account in my first email like a host. but i forget fasvord a long time ago and i cant back that email. i have google account and i have google email adrees. my property its online to book. i like to sing in and from new mobile and with new email adress i cant. how can i go in airbnb log in and go write my email adress in google and password,. and i log in just in accoun in google not like a host. so i have a problem i like my account back like with pictures and revies and like a host but i cant log in  from new phone. can i send some message or from my number do you know anyting? thanks

 Hi everyone,

Not sure if anybody is still viewing this thread, however this is our saga to add to the story.

We have been off-line for over 12 days. We initially, were hacked and somebody made a booking in our name, which Air sorted out.

 

They asked us to review our account and change our password, Which we did and since them we haven’t been able to get into our account. We have lost so many bookings amounting to in excess of £3000 to date and the clock is ticking.  We cannot understand how a company as big as Air cannot employ Capable techco people to sort this problem out.

 Regrettably we have no solution, we can only add to the thread to say that in 2019 June, this issue is still alive.

In the slim hope that somebody has found a solution please please please please please please share it.

My view is they getting too big and the quality of the service is  suffering.  

I am getting very fed up with this whole website and am now unable to log in to my account to block off calendar dates. Very very frustrating.

same issue. here. if you try to login with a fake or invented e-mail address or account, it happens the same. I mean, nothing happen and airbnb app constantly request to login (what ever you enter your correct or wrong password). this is related to the captcka robot detection that blocks all! hopefully, they will do something!!
