I have several cancellations that qualify for the covid-19 25% refund. Can anyone give me some idea of when can hope for my 25% payout?
You appreciate this 25% is based on your normal cancelation policy (you look to be moderate?), @Theresa424. This means if the would-be guest cancelled 5 days+ before check in, you'll get nothing (it's 25% of zero).
As for when payments will come though, I wouldn't hold your breath, although 'early April' was quoted.

Thank you for your rely Gordon. My cancellation policy was strict for those reservations. I was told by an Airbnb representative that the cancellation policy that I listed when I posted the place remain with the reservation so they
should honor that.
ok - thanks Gordon0
The Airbnb rep I communicated with said we should be hearing something in "early April". Hopefully that means any day now!
I spoke to support yesterday and was stated we will be informed by the end of April.
Tbh i think nobody has any idea.. If it happens it happens but im honestly not holding out much hope 😞
Thanks Luke279 for your efforts and sharing that.
This an awful situation. I think all cancelled reservations should be split 50/50 with the guest. Why do the hosts have to take the entire hit. This is not an ideal situation for anyone. Things should be done fairly
I just messaged AirBnB and the response was "next week"
Ok - Thanks Maxine33
Its now the middle of April. I have not heard a word about it from Airbnb. Has anyone else heard anything?
Thank you i was wondering whether to contact them as have bills coming
I haven't heard anything yet (and my cancelled stays should qualify) but will keep an eye on this thread and let you know when I do hear something.
I'd be interested in knowing if/when you get the email, as I'm in the same boat.
