host and guest safety and liability

Airbnb can, & must, support host & guest safety efforts by specifically allowing only those hosts that list a private room INSIDE THE SAME STRUCTURE/HOME THAT THE HOST RESIDES IN, to place security devices indoors & only where NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY EXISTS, ie:shared kitchen.

While I (and many other Hosts) agree with you in principle, Airbnb has made their decision and Hosts have to comply with it if using their platform.

I think you can place said security device in areas where the guest doesn't have access to.
