malicious reviews by guests

i requested airbnb to delete 2 reviews on the following grounds :

1. one review mentioned about my grandkids that refused to talk to her and a husband that prefers to drink coke and keep his privacy.

2. a fake review because she never turned up. At 2am, i asked if she was coming and she said she is still busy talking to a friend. So i left the keys for her to come in herself. Next morning, she put a rate of 1. Looking at her past reviews I saw that she has bad reviews from my local hosts.

Airbnb said those reviews were following their policy. Yeah, right. including a fake review.

i am this close to deactivating my airbnb. Should i? Is it worth the trouble of maintaining this and giving in to malicious guests?

HI @Lina7236

I'm sorry you've had some issues with a couple of reviews recently!

I see that your listings are still up, so I wanted to check in to see if you'd found a solution in the end with the Support team?

Let us know how the situation evolved please 🙂

Thanks,

Emilie

All I can say is keep plugging away if you think it is worth it. I have had complaints.reviews about traffic and rude drivers which I can't control. Reviews saying it is a great place and then 3 stars.

You can helps with some of this by  setting check-in times if you have to drop off the keys. No check-ins after 10 pm or put a lockbox for the guest to use.

Guests will be guests. If you are getting other good reviews ignore the one offs. It can be frustratinb, but it is usually due to them going through circumstances of their own.

Best of luck.
