share a video tour with guests

Hi all,

I'm new to airbnb and want to share a video tour of the property with a guest before they book, but I can't figure out how to upload it or share to them without the link being blocked.  I've tried the help centre, but can't figure it out.

Can anyone help?

Welcome to the community 😊

Airbnb does not allow you to upload videos to your listing. Therefore, you will have to rely on third-party websites in order to promote your Airbnb video.

After the booking confirmation , you can communicate with the guest by WhatsApp, forward your video tour to shared with the guest.

You can't contact the guest outside the platform for an inquiry.

Does anyone know why Airbnb won't allow video tours of the house.  It is such a great selling feature.  I send them video's after they book but it would help book more if they saw it before.

I am also new to airbnb and I was actually googling that question this morning and this is what I found.... apparently you cannot send videos on airbnb before they book....I hope this helps

After a booking is confirmed

• Use the Airbnb messaging system: Send short videos (up to 60 seconds) in messages to your guest after the reservation is confirmed. You can view them later in the "Gallery" section of the message thread.
• Use other apps: You can also send videos via other apps, such as WhatsApp, using the guest's phone number if you have it.
• Provide useful information: Use this feature to share helpful content like a "how-to" video for your smart lock or hot tub, or an overview of the neighborhood. 

For potential guests

• Host the video elsewhere: Post your video on a platform like YouTube or a personal website.
• Share the link: Include a link to the video in your listing description or in a link-based welcome guide for guests to find before they book.

• Use a QR code: Create a QR code that links to your video and include it in your welcome materials or on a sign in the home for guests to scan and watch at their convenience.

If you are new, and the Guest asked for a video be careful.  Scammers will do this because they know you can only do off the platform.  mYou can present in your listing after a reservation, you can provide approved reservations with a video to assit in planning thedir enjoyment.
