where would a USA city or township notify or report to airbnb of a resolution or ordinance that requires properties to get a permit before they advertise on airbnb?

Getting this kind of info can be tough if you're not looking out for it. I thought it might be helpful to tag some Hosts who have recently dealt with new ordinances and regulations in their area. Perhaps they can stop by and let you know!

@William2185 I doubt Airbnb will care about any two-bit bunch of politicians who have set out to damage STR hosts. They may take action fora New York or a London sized entity but surely not for the myriad of others some of which are probably not even acting legally worldwide.

Towns and cities across the world don't need to notify any of the STR channels such as Airbnb when they introduce legislation 

where Airbnb have information you can see it on the Airbnb website  @William2185 

it's up to us as the business owner to keep abreast of STR legislation in the areas in which we operate
