Just a little nervous about this. This is our home...so, I think it's weird when we get these requests without any reviews, etc.

Hi @Kyle1057
Guest profile “Member since” just shows when they created their account, not how often they’ve traveled.
They probably signed up years ago, maybe just to browse, and only recently booked their first trip or joined trips booked by friends or family, so the reservations weren’t on their account.
@Kyle1057 . Just ask them. Sometimes its because they were going to book then joined someone else's booking. The lack of reviews does mean you should ask them more questions, then from their replies you should get a feeling of whether you want to host them or not. You can say no or if its an enquiry only, just let it lapse.

@Kyle1057 Airbnb was not huge for us until we started hosting. As such we only had one trip/review in many years.
We now have about 5 reviews and yet have only been on 2 trips - I guess this is the opposite of your issue. Hopefully this won't upset potential hosts when we book future trips!
@Frances3408 's advice is always the best way to deal with odd situations. 'It's good to talk' used to be an advertising slogan in the UK (1980s I think) and it is still true today.
Hi @Kyle1057! I was wondering whether you have seen the helpful replies from fellow hosts? It'd be great to hear which decision you've taken in the end 🙂
Hi @Kyle1057 ,
agree with the comments so far. Good advice.
One trip with no review is hard to conclude anything but if he had 10 trips and no reviews it would be a bit odd for all those random hosts to not post a review. So then I might conclude that something is a-foot here, on the guest side.
I had never used AIRBNB to travel before a trip last year but had been using the platform to host for years. And so I was sort of in that club of no reviews yet but an older account.
Good luck!
