As the world came together to celebrate World Cleanup Day on September 16, 2023, one of our challenges in supporting this event was to bring awareness among the Spanish-speaking Host Community.

On September 19th, many enthusiastic hosts from Latin America joined our virtual meeting with green hearts 💚. We were very touched by the inspiring participation of our lovely Mauricio Bernal, an active member of the Host Advisory Board and community leader in Cancún, Mexico. We are very grateful for the participation of hosts from Colombia, Mexico, Panama, the United States, and our wonderful Dominican community, who, despite time zone differences, said yes to this beautiful gathering.
Even through the screen, the magic of this event was palpable. The wonderful feedback we received fills us with hope, as this increased awareness represents the possibility of a greener, healthier, and happier world for us and the generations to come.
Now we want to encourage all the countries and hosts that joined us to keep moving forward, to carry out both individual and community actions. With everyone's contribution, we’re sure to achieve great things. Let's go together for more!

As Latin American Communities, we share many common aspects: the language, the culture, and our immense passion for hospitality; that is why it’s so important that we are learning from each other, helping each other, and finding spaces to talk about the environment and seek paths to a more sustainable and green world.
As Hosts, the small actions we take every day in our work and in the community will have a greater impact on the environment and will inspire many others.
We felt very honored by the presence of Hosts from Colombia, Mexico, Panama, the United States, and our beautiful Dominican people. We thank everyone who supported this noble cause and urge everyone to strive for more and not stop until we reach the top.
