Drop in views: is a 25-day stay to blame?

Hi, my views plummeted since this weekend, despite making a few listing tweaks that ought to trigger a bump up in the algorithm. 25-day stay just checked in on Saturday. Is that likely to be the cause?

Airbnb's insights says 12% of bookings in my area are less than 1 week out. So presumably 12-20% also are 2 weeks out, and then presumably it long-tails to multiple months out. So seems likely.

Just looking for affirmation that this is the case, cuz being in a snowbird winter peak season (West Palm Beach), smart pricing algorithm had bottomed out so that September prices were listed thru the whole peak. In an abundance of caution I turned it off, and quickly found out it was the wise thing to do, as another WPB host just had a snowbird pick up a whole peak month for off-peak price. Brutal. But anyway I'm just trying to figure out if non-smart pricing also contributed to my drop in views.

Hi @Jacob805 ,

This questions seems to be popping up a lot lately.
I have turned my smart pricing on & off but personally found it’s was better for me to leave it on though I still control my bottom line price, which you can do. It keeps my maximum pricing competitive with other STRs around me.  It is only a suggestion/recommendation from AirBnB with  the pricing.

I was asked by the platform to go to $80 & I would never go that low in pricing. It is what my value to myself is. I do not charge for cleaning, etc.
My concern is that I’m seeing more & more corporations taking over my market. It will say they are independent (of what the stock exchange?)  but have over 50 listings. How can a small true Independant compete as they can go very low in pricing with volume. Not sure if this is something AirBnB is looking at or not. The intimacy of getting to know you hosts of years gone by are getting lost to the big guys.
Just my thoughts.
