Flexible Search Pricing

Dear Community,

I have a question that probably  this community already figured the answer to:

When doing flexible searches (for example, selecting just a city and placing no restrictions on dates), what is the rationale for the pricing that appears as the cost per night? In my case, when doing this search, the system pulls the pricing from March of next year (Spring Break). Since it is a high pricing, my concern is that travelers doing a flexible search might discard the property without even considering the specific week's pricing.

Any advice from this group? I found that this community has been an excellent resource for me.

The default setting for the search page is "flexible, 1 week".

For still unknown reasons the system chooses a week far in the future and displays the price of that week. It happens for every listing. So indeed guests have to select some dates first to see the price of a more closer week. IMHO it is design error in the new "summer release" search page to have "1 week, flexible" set as the default options. That options are not what most guests are looking for.
