Hosting Team vs CoHost 2023

Hi all! I currently own and manage a few homes on my own personal account. I’m starting a vacation rental management company and am trying to decide upon start up how I should set up the accounts:

1) when I get new listings to manage should I just create them on my personal Airbnb account and add cohosts to the properties when needed?

2) should I create a hosting team with my account ? I’m worried though that it loses the personal feeling when it’s just a company name hosting and messaging the guest instead of a physical face photo and a person’s name. Also concerned if I try to add people in the future to my team that are also cohosts for other properties I’ve read that that can’t be done

3) should I create a new account as my business name and logo and have my account be the cohost of those properties. That way it can show the professional business profile but also show the personal touch of my face and my name. Then in the future with future listings I would just add cohosts?

can anyone help shed some light on the actual technicality of the difference between each option and thoughts on pluses/minuses of how I should set it up? Thanks so much!

I’ve tried calling Airbnb support a few times and no one has known so far to be able to help. I’ve read the few articles on hosting teams but that’s all the support team can direct me to.

Hello @Katie-And-Cody0 @Paula

Here is an Airbnb link that explains the difference between the two and their characteristics which might help you determine which one fits better for you:

https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/2680

This next link explains what teams can do:

https://www.airbnb.com/resources/hosting-homes/a/making-it-easier-to-host-together-with-teams-on-air...

With the new summer release there have been improvements on what co-hosts can do so here's a link that explains the new functions:

You may have come across this tread on the CC where someone asks the same question as you but it dates back to 2019 so maybe the changes talked about may have taken place with the new update?

Lots to read but hopefully you'll have a clearer picture at the end😉

All the best
