Hello Airbnb Community,
I'm hosting my lovely big holiday home in the fabulous Kent, UK seaside town of Broadstairs. It's all about attracting off season bookings right now - I'm sure there are others of you in the same boat!
I have a 2-night minimum as standard and a 3-night discount of 5% to try to persuade those weekend guests to book another night.
However, I've just had a thought ... does the guest even "see" that discount and if they do at what point?
If the guest is searching for 2 days and Airbnb never tells them, "oh you know you could get a discount if you book for 3 days" then it's not really a marketing tool.
And if a guest is searching for 3 days anyway, well that's not doing much good either.
I may be better off just making sure my weekday prices are noticeably lower and letting that be persuasive in itself. (the same discount applied to 1 night would be approximately 15%)
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Helen
