Why did my bookings drop when I added a new listing?

I have had a 90% occupancy rate on a property for 5 years. I decided to convert a new property to Airbnb and launched last month under my current profile as a super host. My original property is now at 16%. I can't help but wonder if I did something wrong. The app says bookings are up 60% this year (this month) vs  last year. Should I have started my new listing under a new profile name? I have checked all my settings and dripped my min price for my orginal listing but booking are still down tremendously vs last year. Has anyone else had this happen when adding a new property? Thanks for your input.

Many have expressed the fact their bookings are way down starting as of May, 2022. Doubtful starting a new listing has any bearing on no bookings, in all likelihood it is just a coincidence. Hard to say what contributed more to the decline; the fact Airbnb is putting new emphasis on many of the listings in their category, and/or the economy which is undergoing a slowdown.

Its possible those coming to your site are seeing the 'new ' discount price and bypassing your old listing.... H
