2024 Week of Celebration! ✨

As we approach the end of the year, we’re excited to announce the 8th Annual Week of Celebration! 🎉 This special celebration will take place this December in the Community Center, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

From December 16 to the 20th, our amazing community members will come together to share positive and inspiring stories — whether it’s about your hosting journey, a favorite Airbnb product feature, or a milestone you’re proud of.  This is your chance to be part of the festivities by sharing stories that reflect what’s close to your heart.

If any of the following themes resonate with you, simply reply to this topic or send us a Direct Message, and we’ll be in touch to get you involved!

1. Heartwarming hosting stories 
2. Celebrating personal milestones
3. Festive traditions and unique hosting touches
4. Positive experiences with Airbnb product features
5. Reflections, inspiration, and your vision for the new year

How to participate:

• Your story is within 750 words (if possible). 
• Your story is original and based on your personal experience.
• You’re more than welcome to share images that are relevant and compliment your lovely story. Feel free to include a maximum of 3 images.
• Simply reply to this thread or send us a Direct Message to let us know you’d like to participate, and we’ll follow up with more details.

Over the years, this event has brought us together through heartfelt conversations, shared laughs, and warm connections. We’re looking forward to celebrating with you all again this year!

Reminder: Please note that we will be celebrating the Week of Celebration over a 5-day period, and that we operate on a first come first served basis. If you’re interested in participating, please express your interest and submit your topic to us before the 12th of December. Please note that stories may be lightly edited if needed.

@Quincy as you have said it is that time of Year of Celebrating. The Community Centre Forum opened the door for me when I first started my Airbnb. Here I have met many Hosts from around the world. This week or sometimes it has been a month in the past of how Hosts come together and sharing their stories from different part of the world. It is amazing how we connect with different stories or our experiences of Airbnb Hosting at this time of year.

I have participated in the Week of celebrations for 3 years now. Starting with a Christmas by the Beach. 

Next The End of the Year and the Beginning of Another, 

Last Year was The Gift of Giving.

My topics have all been based on my own Airbnb experience of being a Host and how I have celebrated with my Guests.

I love reading how as we are Airbnb Hosts, and we can have different interpretations and meanings.  I am looking foreword to seeing if there are any old faces who have written before and are going to do again this year.

Yes Quincy, I will throw my hat in the ring and think of another topic for this years celebrations.

It would be appreciated if this Festival went back to a Month Of Celebration to tie in with the Advent Calendar and spirit of Christmas including acknowledging and including the Religious aspects of December and our Dear Saint Nicholas heritage.

It was much easier for and enabled a variety of Community Centre users to participate and prepare when this was promoted in November as Christmas is a very busy time for many in the last week or so.

Thanks in advance, and glad to report we still have a great supply of Dutch goodies in Nieuw Zealand.
