Service animals

Do we have to accept a request for a stay with a service dog if we dont' accept pets.?

@Yaisa0 short answer . Yes , get the guest to send a pic of the dog and his id . ha ha H

but is it a booking ?you cannot discriminate against the animal if its a service animal but check that this is genuine , you can say that you are not set up for a dog or that they would probably find somewhere that does.H

@Yaisa0 Since your space is a shared space, I think the answer is no because you may be allergic to pet fur or dander. And if this is the case, it should be noted in your house rules. 

On another note. If it is truly a service animal, the animal must be with the owner 24/7–no leaving service animal alone; and you can ask specifically what task the service the animal will be providing and what has the service animal been trained to do.  

@Yaisa0  Yes, @Gwen386  is right that you may explicitly decline service animals for your Private Room listings in which you share space with the guest.
